WHAT IS IT?

HOW IT WORKS

The model represents the purchase history of a product over a period of time, similar to the popularity of a fad.

HOW TO USE IT

Blue population- this variable represents the people who do not have the product.
yellow population- This variable represents the people who have the product or would buy it immediatly upon release (for example fans of a given brand).
WoM effect (word if mouth): the efficacy of word of mouth for the product. WoM happens when a blue person interacts with a yellow person. note: resaerch shows that negative and positive word of mouth both lead to purchases.
Advirtisements: the number of stationary advirtisements for the product.
ad-size: the size of the adds.
ad-effect: similar to WoM effect; every time a blue person interacts with an ad, they are more likely to buy the product.

This section could give some ideas of things for the user to try to do (move sliders, switches, etc.) with the model.

EXTENDING THE MODEL

This section could give some ideas of things to add or change in the procedures tab to make the model more complicated, detailed, accurate, etc.

This section could point out any especially interesting or unusual features of NetLogo that the model makes use of, particularly in the Procedures tab. It might also point out places where workarounds were needed because of missing features.

RELATED MODELS

This section could give the names of models in the NetLogo Models Library or elsewhere which are of related interest.

CREDITS AND REFERENCES

This section could contain a reference to the model's URL on the web if it has one, as well as any other necessary credits or references.
